Patients’ and Providers’ Preferences and Perceptions for Imaging Information for Patients: Cross-Sectional Survey Study

Patients’ and Providers’ Preferences and Perceptions for Imaging Information for Patients: Cross-Sectional Survey Study

These findings suggest that, similar to patients, providers have diverse preferences for how results should be communicated to patients. Therefore, the most preferred communication method should be determined collaboratively, taking into account the preferences of both the provider and the patient. The results of this study have several implications.

Evaluation of a Novel Goals-of-Care Discussion Priming Tool (MyCare) in Inpatient General Internal Medicine Ward Settings: Feasibility, Acceptability, and Usability Study

Patients suggested adding questions about mental health, specific preferences for end-of-life care, and community care would better reflect the needs of the target patient population. Patients self-identified 2 functions of My Care: personal reflection and supporting shared communication of their goals, wishes, and values.

Digital Health Interventions for Military Members, Veterans, and Public Safety Personnel: Scoping Review

Digital Health Interventions for Military Members, Veterans, and Public Safety Personnel: Scoping Review

Moreover, DMHIs are amenable to inconspicuous use and customization to user preferences and symptomatology [25]. There has been a shift toward DMHIs [26], a promising method for delivering patient-centered health interventions based on people’s present needs [27,28]. Notably, however, in a scoping review of apps for MMs and PSP, only 50% (11/22) were subject to a randomized controlled trial (RCT) [29].

Effectiveness of a Gamified Mobile App in Enhancing Treatment Adherence for Children With Amblyopia: Explorative Study

Effectiveness of a Gamified Mobile App in Enhancing Treatment Adherence for Children With Amblyopia: Explorative Study

The interview topics covered barriers to occlusion therapy, child motivation, game preferences, and parental support. The interview outlines for parents and children are available in Multimedia Appendices 1 and 2. All interviews were conducted by 2 trained researchers (a female design graduate student and a male MSc research assistant in ophthalmology) in private clinic rooms (for parents or clinicians) or a quiet play area (for children).

Patients’ Experiences of Telehealth-Based Nutrition Interventions for Polycystic Ovary Syndrome in China: Qualitative Descriptive Study

Patients’ Experiences of Telehealth-Based Nutrition Interventions for Polycystic Ovary Syndrome in China: Qualitative Descriptive Study

Clinical guidelines and consensus statements strongly advocate individualized dietary strategies as first-line treatment for PCOS [7,11], emphasizing the importance of personalized approaches tailored to patients’ unique metabolic profiles and lifestyle preferences [12,13].

Variation in Telehealth Use for Patients With Incident Atrial Fibrillation Across the Veterans Health Administration: Retrospective Cohort Study

Variation in Telehealth Use for Patients With Incident Atrial Fibrillation Across the Veterans Health Administration: Retrospective Cohort Study

We estimated the association between patient and facility-level characteristics and receipt of video care or any telehealth (video or phone) using Bayesian mixed-effects logistic regression models with facility-level random intercepts. Patient- and facility-level characteristics were selected based on previous literature suggesting relationships between these characteristics and the use of telehealth [1,8].

Role of Digital Health on Palliative Care: Umbrella Review

Role of Digital Health on Palliative Care: Umbrella Review

A total of 6 reviews [14,23,25,33,36,41] reported the effects of DH-based palliative care on patient symptom management outcomes. However, these reviews presented inconsistent findings. A total of 5 reviews [23,25,33,36,41] reported positive effects of DH-based palliative care on patient symptom management, 1 study [14] that conducted a meta-analysis showed DH-based palliative care had no statistically significant effect on improving the symptoms of advanced patients.

Promoting Walking in Cardiopulmonary Disease With Mindful Steps: Pilot Feasibility Randomized Controlled Trial of a Web-Based, Pedometer-Mediated Mind-Body Intervention

Moreover, Mindful Steps was expanded with additional educational content to be relevant for individuals with HF, in addition to COPD, given the similarities in patient phenotype, shared pathophysiology and symptoms, and need for physical activity intervention.

AI Awareness and Tobacco Policy Messaging Among US Adults: Electronic Experimental Study

AI Awareness and Tobacco Policy Messaging Among US Adults: Electronic Experimental Study

Future studies should include both human and AI narrators to better understand audience preferences and perceptions. Other research has shown that negative attitudes toward AI may influence message perceptions. In one study comparing the evaluation of AI versus human-generated messages, researchers found moderating effects of negative attitudes toward AI on the evaluation of the messages, but not on which message was ultimately selected [20].
