Some evidence also suggests that exposure to a larger version of one’s own body in VR may be a useful addition to the treatment of anorexia nervosa [15,16]. One problem with the currently established treatments for eating disorders is the high rate of dropouts. Even in randomized controlled trials, as many as 40% of participants do not complete treatment for anorexia nervosa [17].
